{I heart} Fabric World

Hello Friends! Last week when I was in Atlanta for the Elizabeth Musser event, I had to stop by my favorite fabric shop - Fabric World! It's a huge warehouse filled with discounted fabrics. Look at the prices - can you believe all of the fabrics are $3.99/yard or less?

I found so many patterns that I loved! Hence, the cart below ...

I have so many fun ideas and plans for the fabric - I'll be sure to keep you posted on how the projects are coming along!

Elizabeth Musser

Hey Friends! Earlier this week I made a quick trip to Atlanta to attend a women's event at my home town church featuring Elizabeth Musser. Some of you may have heard of her, but for those of you who haven't, she is a writer who grew up in Atlanta and now lives in France doing mission work as well as writing! One of her most famous books is The Swan House - it is such a great book - it is set in the city of Atlanta which is really neat!

It was also really special to get to see my Mom, sister, grandmother, along with some of my aunts and cousins!

Here is a quick shot of the beautiful tablescape that my grandmother did for our table. She used all vintage items from my great-grandmothers house, so it was so special to learn about the family heirlooms!

I can't wait for the next ladie's event this coming November - featuring Gena Knox!

Garage Sale Finds

I just wanted to share with all of you some amazing garage sale items I found this past weekend! As luck would have it, a family was downsizing and wanted to get rid of a lot of furniture - lucky me! The first picture is a custom built wine bar, and the second picture is a buffet! I got both pieces for a steal, and I am excited to spruce these up a bit and get them in my shop! Stay tuned!

St. Augustine

Hello Friends! I hope you are all doing well! This past weekend Johnathan and I traveled to St. Augustine for a long weekend stay with his side of the family! We had such a good time - it was a much needed vacation and getaway!
Friday evening Johnathan and I arrived in St. Augustine and went straight to the marina to put the boat in the water. Isn't this a gorgeous sunset?

On Saturday, Jay, Laura and the boys arrived and came straight to the beach! We spent a full day there and had fun at the pool, too!
Even some took naps ...
Sunday morning Johnathan and I drove into downtown St. Augustine to get breakfast at a little French restaurant called Bistro de Leon that our friends recommended. They had the best french toast I had ever eaten!
We enjoyed another relaxing afternoon on the beach, then we all got ready and took a boat ride to a great restaurant on the water. We could not have asked for better weather, and the food was great!

Captain T.G. (a.k.a. Batman)  wanted to drive the boat
